The premise

The method

A clinical method, not a treatment menu.

Three principles guide every session. They are how I explain why standard treatment did not work for you, and why this one might.

01

Fascia is the missing piece

Most treatment addresses muscle and bone. Myofascial release targets the connective tissue network that wraps every structure in your body. When fascia restricts, pain follows.

02

Complex cases are my specialty

If standard treatment hasn't resolved your pain, that is not a failure on your part. Complex, chronic cases need a different clinical lens, and a practitioner trained to use it.

03

Assessment leads everything

Every session begins with a movement and load assessment. Not because it is protocol, but because where you move poorly reveals exactly where I need to work.

What I treat

The cases others can't explain.

A representative, not exhaustive, list. If your case isn't here, that doesn't mean I can't help. Book a call and I'll tell you honestly.

Chronic back pain The kind that physio bought you a few months of relief, then came back.
Unresolved soft tissue Residual pain that hangs on long after physio or surgery has signed off.
Headaches and migraines Tension-pattern, cervicogenic, the kind that pills only mute.
Postural pain Desk-bound, repetitive load patterns, the office body.
Hip and knee restrictions Range loss, load intolerance, that 'something's not firing right' feeling.
Shoulder and neck tension Stiffness, referral patterns, impingement that won't quite resolve.
Post-surgical adhesions Scar tissue restricting movement and load, often years after the operation.
Nerve-related discomfort Referred patterns, mechanical entrapment, things imaging didn't catch.
Athletic recovery Olympic-level prep, sub-elite, recreational. The same eyes either way.
What to expect

"I came to this work through my own body, not a textbook."

As a child, I needed extensive medical intervention and could not exercise until my mid-teens. Remedial massage systematically rebuilt my capacity through assessment-led treatment. That experience shaped my entire approach to practice.

Today I support elite athletes preparing for LA28 and Brisbane 2032, combining hands-on assessment with force-plate measurement and AI motion tracking.

"A recurring shoulder restriction had been written off as postural. It turned out to be fascial, from an old surgery scar. The difference after two sessions was remarkable."

"As a competitive runner, I had accepted hip tightness as part of training. Hill showed me it wasn't. My times have improved and I no longer dread the day after a long run."

Is treatment covered by health funds?

Yes. Sessions are covered by most major Australian health funds with extras cover for remedial massage. HICAPS on-the-spot claiming, so you only pay the gap. Bring your card.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients feel meaningful change inside four sessions. Complex, long-standing cases may need longer, and I re-assess at session four. If we're not making measurable progress, I say so and refer you on.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No referral required to book. I do collaborate openly with GPs, physios, and surgeons when your case benefits from it, and I'm happy to forward session notes on request.

What's the difference vs. remedial massage elsewhere?

Two things. First, every session begins with a movement and load assessment, not a symptom interview. Second, the work targets fascia, the connective tissue network most practices ignore. That combination is what lets me take cases standard treatment cannot resolve.

Will the treatment hurt?

Myofascial release is firm but not aggressive. Discomfort during specific releases is common and brief. Pain is not a measure of effective treatment, and I do not work that way.

Where are you located?
